A general donation will always go towards our school building and general scholarship projects.
However, many of our supporters have fundraised with special goals in mind:
- Raising more than $7,000 allows our supporters to build one classroom. Donors of more than $7,000 will have the name of their organization on the plaque of 1 Sunflower Mission School (by request).
- Raise money to give our students much-needed school supplies including mosquito nets for $3 each.
- Raising $200 allows our supporters to sponsor one University or College student in our Support a Student (SAS) program
Sounds like a daunting task? The truth is – we have many examples of successes already!
Be creative! We have had a large number of fundraisers from self-made DVD sales, Fashion Shows, Date Auctions, Hotdog eating contests, 50 mile Ultra Marathon Runs, 5K walks, Carnivals, Vietnamese Food Tasting etc!
Sunflower Mission is DEDICATED to your success. We will send out copies of our three-page flyers, annual reports, and DVDs about Sunflower to be used at your latest fundraising activity. In addition, schedule permitting, members of our board are willing to travel and to speak at the event.
We will also issue tax deductible receipts for any US resident. We are currently looking at what we can do for Canadian citizens at this time.
