Haiti Disaster And Reconstruction Fund
Dear Sunflower Mission members and friends,
No doubt you have heard of the catastrophic earthquake that struck near Port-au-Prince, Haiti earlier this week. While the full extent of damages is still being assessed, the US and the world have begun to send in relief efforts. Even if Haiti is not known to us as individuals, we cannot help but to feel horrified and heartbroken in the face of this enormous devastation.
While relief to Haiti is not within the scope of Sunflower Mission’s charter, I believe that many of you are wondering how you can help. We’re writing about Mona Foundation as an avenue for your support via the Haiti Disaster and Reconstructive Fund. Mona Foundation has been a sponsor of Sunflower Mission for the past 4 years and has funded the construction of our classrooms in Vietnam. Furthermore, our esteemed Advisor, Duy-Loan Le, is a Director on Mona’s Board for the past decade.
While we are facing difficult economic times here in the US, if you are able to help, please do. Additionally, please keep the people of Haiti in your thoughts and prayers.
