Sunflower Mission - YMCA March 2008 Workcamp
Hello everyone,
I didn't have the opportunity to share this video with everyone at the SFM & VSA social.. So, it's hard to express in words what the Vietnam trip meant to me, so I tried to put everything in a little video clip with pictures. It was one of the most amazing experiences I ever had. I met so many wonderful people, made new friends, and got to be connected to a country where my family came from. Also, it opened my eyes to actually see what a difference VSA made in the past years with donations to SFM. When I went there, I thought we would be doing crazy labor.. But there were construction people there doing most of the work. Still, being able to put effort and help with painting the windows, the walls, and grouting the tiles was amazing. Talking to the students there and watch as their face lit up with joy. It touches my heart deeply to know that one person could make a difference and the efforts that each member of VSA has put help towards raising money to donate to Sunflower Mission made the biggest difference ever. It made a difference to those students who are learning in those classrooms and for the future students for many generations. I am very thankful that Sunflower Mission gave me this opportunity. Thanks again everyone.
Sincerely,
Julia T. Nguyen
