Fulfilling Dreams

by Thanh Bui

As we gather to commence our 2023 Workcamp, wherever we turn, amid laughter, one can sense the excitement and the importance of the tasks we are about to undertake, fulfilling dreams. Despite the relentless heat wave Vietnam is experiencing, this work camp mirrors the many others SM has successfully executed. We appreciate three unique groups:

To all first-time Workcampers, every stroke of paint you apply is shortening the commute. You are aiding students in continuing the education they deserve. In effect, you are helping break the cycle of poverty. Remember, your experience will be as rewarding as the effort you put into it. Keep nurturing relationships with fellow Workcampers because we all share a common goal: to help others to help themselves.

To all returning Workcampers, your unwavering support and dedication continue to astound us. We acknowledge that most of you have had to adjust your work schedules and allocate your precious vacation time to participate in this work camp.

To all our supporters, your generous contributions have enabled SM to continue fulfilling our mission: improving education.

Welcome to the 2023 Workcamp!

Why My Family and I Continue To Participate In The Workcamp

To us, workcamp is our annual event to make a different in improving students’ lives through education.

It’s our opportunity to make an impact and to positively generationally change their trajectories.

Each workcamp, I can see how my children have matured and grown in front of my very very own eye. As parents, it is beyond dreams.

We are blessed. We participate in the workcamp because it is our way to pay forward.

Together with many other like-minds Sunflower Mission families, we are continually fulfilling dreams, by building one classroom at a time.
