Workshop Success

by Sebastian Nguyen

Yesterday night, during the meeting after dinner, Ethan Bui learned that the 6th through 9th graders were going to be coming to the workshop today. We had to quickly make a plan to accommodate the up to 84 kids that were going to be in the room for a couple hours. We eventually came up with Geography and English lessons. This luckily turned out to be quite successful and today we were able to teach the kids geography and it was cool to see that there were kids that knew a decent amount of world geography.

After the workshop was over, we went to a few houses to give gifts to the locals and then went to play soccer with the locals. They were very good and well conditioned which reminded me of the 2019 workcamp where the locals were super good and we got destroyed. A difference this time however was that instead of younger kids playing there were full grown adults.

Overall it was a fun experience and a great tradition. After dinner today, we packed all the gifts for the completion ceremony tomorrow then I got some boba, played some card games and went to sleep.
