Strides for Schools Runathon

Join us April 6–14, 2024 for our Strides for Schools Runathon – where every step you take makes a difference! Lace up your running shoes and get ready for an exhilarating virtual runathon benefiting the construction of our newest elementary school in Kiên Giang Province, Vietnam.
About the Event: Strides for Schools is a virtual runathon that allows you to run from anywhere in the world, at your own pace, and on your own schedule. After securing pledges from your friends and family, you raise money for every mile or kilometer you run! Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, this event is open to all ages and fitness levels. You choose the distance you want to cover – every stride counts towards building a brighter future for children in Vietnam.
How It Works:
Register: Sign up to be a Strides for Schools runner! The deadline to register is April 5, 2024.
Secure pledges: Ask your family and friends to donate for each mile or kilometer you run by filling out the Pledge Form.
Run Anywhere: From April 6–14, run at your own pace, anytime, anywhere – whether on the treadmill, through your neighborhood, or along your favorite trail.
Track Your Progress: Log your runs using Nike Run Club or Strava. Share screenshots of your progress to run@sunflowermission.org.
Top the Leaderboards: Runners in the following categories will win a prize:
Under 18 y/o with most miles ran
18-40 y/o with most miles ran
Over 40 y/o with most miles ran
Runner with highest donations overall
Raise money: All you have to do is send the pledge form to family and friends, then run! We will contact your sponsors to collect donations for your hard-earned miles.
